Terms and conditions
These terms cover the use of this website and how the information on it should be read. They are not a contract for building a kitchen — that is agreed separately, in writing, for each project.
1. Who these terms are from
This website is operated by Ikka Kitchen, 28, Uday Nagar B, Near Mansarovar Metro Station, Jaipur, Rajasthan, India.
In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean Ikka Kitchen. "You" means anyone using this website. By using the site you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.
2. Using this website
You may use this website to learn about our work and to contact us. Please do not use it to attempt to gain unauthorised access to any system, to copy the site's content for republication, or in any way that damages the site or interferes with anyone else's use of it.
We try to keep the site available and accurate, but we do not guarantee that it will always be available or completely free of errors.
3. Images shown on this website
Images on this website fall into two categories, and it matters which is which.
Photographs of completed work
Images on our projects page are photographs of kitchens and cabinetry we have actually designed, manufactured and installed. Some were photographed during installation, with the surrounding room still being finished, and are described as such where that is the case.
Every project is made to its own room and its own requirements. A photograph shows what was built for one client; it is not an offer to supply an identical kitchen, and the materials, dimensions and finishes in it will not necessarily be available or appropriate for your project.
Illustrative and concept images
Other images on the site — including the kitchen views on our kitchen layouts page, and images used to illustrate services, materials, processes and general design ideas — are illustrative visuals created to explain a concept. They are not photographs of completed Ikka Kitchen projects, and they do not depict actual clients, actual premises or actual completed installations.
Illustrative images are used to show:
- how a particular kitchen layout is arranged in a room;
- how materials, finishes and hardware combine;
- what a stage of our process involves.
Any people appearing in illustrative images are not our clients, our staff or identifiable individuals. Colours and finishes shown on screen are indicative only: screen calibration, lighting and photographic reproduction all shift how a colour appears. Always confirm a finish against a physical sample before deciding.
4. Dimensions, drawings and specifications
Where this website shows dimensions — including module widths, worktop depths, cabinet heights, clearances and any measurement on an architectural drawing, plan, elevation or section — those figures are indicative and provided for illustration only.
They are not:
- construction drawings;
- a specification for any particular customer's kitchen;
- final measurements you should order materials or appliances against.
Guidance given on the site about clearances and room sizes — for example the walkway width between two facing kitchen runs, or the space an island needs — is general advice. It is a useful starting point for planning; it is not a substitute for measuring your own room.
Final measurements for your kitchen are taken and confirmed at a site inspection, and your kitchen is drawn to those measurements. Where measurements are supplied to you as part of a design proposal, those are the figures that apply to your project, and they supersede anything shown on this website.
5. Enquiries, consultation and quotations
Nothing on this website is an offer capable of acceptance, and no price is published on it. Contacting us does not create a contract.
Consultation and site measurement are free
The initial consultation and the site measurement are provided free of charge, with no obligation. You are not charged for our visit, for the measurements taken, or for the design proposal prepared from them, and you are under no obligation to proceed afterwards.
Quotations
Quotations are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless the quotation states otherwise. After that, material and hardware costs may have changed and we may need to re-quote.
A quotation covers only what it lists. Work identified later — additional units, changes to the design after approval, or civil, plumbing and electrical work not included in the original scope — is quoted separately and agreed before it is carried out.
WhatsApp and the requirement builder
The requirement builder on our contact page assembles the details you enter into a WhatsApp message. It does not send anything to us by itself — you review the message and send it from WhatsApp yourself. Messages you send us by WhatsApp are subject to WhatsApp's own terms.
We aim to respond promptly, but we do not guarantee a response time.
6. Project work, payment and cancellation
Any kitchen or cabinetry work we carry out is governed by the written agreement, quotation and approved design for that specific project — not by this website. Where anything on this website conflicts with your project agreement, your project agreement applies.
Payment stages
Unless your quotation says otherwise, payment is made in three stages:
- 50% on approval of the final design, to begin manufacturing
- 40% before installation begins
- 10% on handover, once the kitchen has been walked through with you
Manufacturing begins only after the design is approved and the first payment is received. Applicable taxes are charged in addition and shown on the invoice.
Design approval
The design approval stage matters, because cabinets are cut to the approved drawings. Changes requested before manufacturing begins are usually straightforward. Changes requested after cutting has started mean remaking parts, and are chargeable.
Lead time
Because every kitchen is made to its own measurements and specification, lead time varies by project. The lead time for your kitchen is confirmed in writing in your quotation, after site measurement and once the scope is agreed. We do not publish a general figure, because one that fits a small single-wall kitchen would be wrong for a large U-shaped one.
Where a delay is caused by something outside our control — site access, incomplete civil work, delayed material supply, or a change you request — the agreed date moves accordingly, and we will tell you as soon as we know.
Cancellation
You may cancel at any point before you approve the final design, at no cost, because consultation, measurement and design are free.
After design approval, cabinets and shutters are cut and finished to your specific measurements and cannot be resold. If you cancel after manufacturing has begun, the amounts already paid cover the material and work committed to that point, and any balance is settled against what has actually been incurred.
Where we work
We are based in Jaipur and undertake modular kitchen, profile shutter and glass-work projects across India. Share your city, room details and requirements with us so we can confirm the planning, delivery and installation process for your location. A discussion about your city is not a commitment to accept any particular project until the scope is agreed in writing.
7. Warranty and after-sales
We warrant our workmanship and installation for 12 months from the date of handover. If something we made or installed fails within that period through a defect in our manufacturing or installation, we will repair or replace it at no charge.
Hardware — hinges, drawer systems, lift-up mechanisms, corner fittings and similar — carries the warranty offered by its own manufacturer, which we pass through to you. Where a hardware manufacturer's warranty is longer than 12 months, that longer period applies to those components. We will tell you what applies to the hardware specified for your kitchen.
Adjustments after handover
Hinges and drawer runners commonly need a small adjustment once a kitchen has been in daily use for a few weeks. That is normal settling, not a fault. Contact us and we will arrange for it to be looked at — adjustments within the warranty period are free.
What the warranty does not cover
- Normal wear, and the natural variation and ageing of wood and veneer
- Damage from misuse, impact, or unsuitable cleaning products
- Water damage from a plumbing leak, an overflowing sink, or a dishwasher or appliance fault
- Damage from water ingress through a wall, floor or ceiling
- Alterations or repairs carried out by anyone else
- Appliances, countertops or fittings supplied by others
- Discolouration caused by prolonged direct sunlight
Work carried out after the warranty period, or outside its scope, is quoted before it is done.
8. Materials, finishes and hardware
Materials, finishes and hardware described on this website are described generically. The specific products available for your project are confirmed at the material selection stage, against physical samples.
Availability changes. A material or finish described on this website may not be available at the time of your project, and we may need to propose an equivalent.
Where any manufacturer or brand name appears on this site, it is used descriptively to identify a product. It does not imply that we are an authorised dealer, distributor or partner of that manufacturer unless we say so explicitly.
9. Intellectual property
The content of this website — text, photographs, drawings, diagrams, the Ikka Kitchen name and logo, and the design of the site itself — belongs to us or is used by us with permission. You may view and print pages for your own personal use in planning a kitchen.
You may not republish, redistribute or use our photographs, drawings or text commercially, or present our work as your own, without our written permission.
Designs and drawings we prepare for you remain our intellectual property unless your project agreement says otherwise.
10. External links and third-party services
This website links to services we do not control, including WhatsApp, Google Maps and our social media profiles. We are not responsible for their content, availability or practices, and linking to them is not an endorsement of them. Their own terms and privacy policies apply when you use them.
11. Liability
The information on this website is provided in good faith and for general guidance. We do not accept liability for loss arising from decisions taken solely on the basis of website content — in particular, decisions about room dimensions, clearances, or ordering materials or appliances, which should always be based on a site inspection and your approved design.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes any liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
12. Privacy
How we handle information is set out in our privacy policy. In short: this website has no contact form that submits to a server, no login, and no database. It does not collect your personal information.
13. Governing law and disputes
These terms, and any project we carry out, are governed by the laws of India.
If something goes wrong, please tell us first. Most problems are quicker and cheaper to fix by talking than by any formal process, and we would rather put right work we are not happy with than argue about it. Contact us using the details below and give us a fair chance to resolve it.
Where a dispute cannot be resolved between us, it is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Jaipur, Rajasthan.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the website or the business changes. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised. The terms that apply to your project are those in force when your quotation was issued.
